Chef Lim
Chef Lim is head chief & co-owner of this Penang restaurant and is very excited to be in Arlington Heights.
He migrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 18 years old, settling in Connecticut, he has been involved in
the restaurant business ever since. Employed as a server in the very first Penang restaurant in Queens, NY, he began to
develop an interest in cooking and decided to pursue a career as a chef. Working very hard in the kitchen day in and day out
learning about food preparations, he quickly became a cook's apprentice. Then it was off on a tour across the U.S. to enhance
his knowledge & skill. Since then he has worked in several restaurants on the east coast and Midwest; only to now settle
and find a niche here in Illinois.
Chef Lew
Chef Lew is also one of the head chefs here at this location. He is mainly in charge of "Cantonese" cuisine. Chef Lew also grew up in Malaysia and moved to Holland when he was 18 to broaden his horizons. This is where he fell in love with cooking and dedicated the next ten (10) years of his life to learning and understanding all aspects of it. He later moved to America and met Chef Lim in a cooking school. Initially, working as a kitchen helper he worked hard and is now at the top of his profession.
